Feature Spotlight · Vertical Intel

Vertical-specific signals.
Vertical-specific gaps.

A trucking operator and a long-term care hospital have nothing in common. Stop prospecting them like they do.

Vertical Intel layers a vertical-specific signal pack and gap library onto every prospect Prospekteer surfaces in a supported vertical — trucking, long-term care hospitals, and mining today, with more on the roadmap. The depth a specialty agent would build by hand, surfaced automatically.

The problem

Generic prospecting tools
treat every commercial business the same.

The signals that matter for trucking aren’t the same as the ones that matter for a hospital. Fleet size, DOT operating history, and cargo composition tell you almost everything you need to know about a trucking account. Bed count, staffing patterns, and HIPAA exposure tell you almost nothing about that trucking account — but they’re what matters for a long-term care facility.

Generic prospecting tools surface the same shallow profile for every commercial business — name, address, employee count, maybe a NAICS code. The specialty agent who’s great in a vertical compensates by digging deeper themselves: pulling DOT records for trucking, checking CMS data for long-term care, looking up MSHA history for mining. Hours of manual research per account, before the first call.

Vertical Intel runs that depth automatically. Each supported vertical gets its own signal pack, its own gap library, and its own AI cold-opener tuning — so the agent walks into the conversation with the depth the vertical demands, without the hours.

Supported today

Three verticals.
Three full signal packs.

Each vertical is a deliberate build. The signals are what an agent in that vertical would pull manually if they had the time. The gaps are the ones that actually go unsold in that vertical, not the generic ones that show up in every commercial policy review.

Trucking
NAICS 484xxx · Fleet operators · Owner-operators
Signals surfaced
  • Fleet size and operational reach
  • Power units and trailer composition
  • Years of operating history
  • Geographic operating footprint
Common gaps detected
  • Motor truck cargo coverage
  • Occupational accident vs workers comp
  • Trailer interchange exposure
  • Hired and non-owned auto on owner-operator accounts
Example: A 12-truck regional fleet running general freight surfaces with a likely cargo-coverage gap and an estimated renewal window — both written into the AI cold opener for that account.
Long-Term Care Hospitals
NAICS 6232xx · Skilled nursing · Specialty hospitals
Signals surfaced
  • Bed count and licensed capacity
  • Staffing pattern and recent regulatory exposure
  • Patient population type and acuity profile
  • Ownership structure (REIT, private, system)
Common gaps detected
  • Cyber liability against HIPAA breach exposure
  • Sexual abuse and molestation coverage
  • Employment practices nuance for high-turnover staffing
  • Excess professional liability layers
Example: A 90-bed skilled nursing facility surfaces with cyber-liability flagged as the primary likely gap and a renewal estimate based on operational signals — first sentence of the AI cold opener.
Mining
NAICS 21xxxx · Surface, underground, and aggregate operations
Signals surfaced
  • Operational scale and active mine sites
  • Regulatory and safety exposure footprint
  • Equipment fleet composition
  • Commodity and operating jurisdiction
Common gaps detected
  • Pollution legal liability for operational discharge
  • Equipment breakdown with extended business income
  • Inland marine for mobile mining equipment
  • Excess workers compensation in high-severity classes
Example: A small aggregate operation surfaces with pollution legal liability flagged and a likely renewal window in the next 60 days — exactly the moment to lead with that conversation.
● ON THE ROADMAP
We expand verticals deliberately, not by checkbox. Dental, restaurants, additional skilled-trade contractor segments, and other commercial classes are queued for build order based on agent demand. If you write a meaningful book in a vertical we don’t cover yet, the fastest way to influence what gets built next is to tell us.
Scope

What Vertical Intel isn’t.

We’re honest about what Vertical Intel does and doesn’t do, because agents who trust their tools sell more with them.

NOT THIS
Not "every commercial class"
We support the verticals we can do well. The vertical packs aren’t marketing — they’re depth. We’d rather have three excellent verticals than thirty mediocre ones, so the supported list grows deliberately, not by checkbox.
NOT THIS
Not personal lines
Vertical Intel is built exclusively for commercial verticals. Auto, home, life, and other personal-lines categories are not part of Prospekteer at all. We focus on what independent commercial agents actually sell.
NOT THIS
Not a substitute for a specialty wholesaler
Some verticals (like mining) require specialty wholesale markets to write. Vertical Intel surfaces the prospect; the binding still goes through your specialty channels. We don’t pretend to replace the wholesaler relationship.
NOT THIS
Not E&S program participation
Vertical Intel is a prospecting layer. It does not provide carrier appointments, program access, or E&S binding authority. You bring your markets; we bring the prospects with the right depth.
Frequently asked

Five questions vertical agents ask first.

Q01
Which verticals does Prospekteer support today?
Trucking, long-term care hospitals, and mining are supported with their own signal packs and gap libraries today. More verticals — including dental, restaurants, and additional skilled-trade contractor segments — are on the roadmap. We expand verticals as we can do them well, not just check boxes.
Q02
What is a "signal pack" exactly?
A signal pack is the set of vertical-relevant indicators we surface on every prospect in that vertical. For trucking, that means fleet size, operational reach, and exposure footprint. For long-term care, it means bed count, staffing patterns, and regulatory exposure. The signals that matter for one vertical aren’t the same as another, so we don’t pretend they are.
Q03
What if my book is mostly outside the supported verticals?
Prospekteer still works for general commercial prospects outside the named verticals — Coverage Gap Detector, Renewal Radar, and the AI cold opener run across every commercial business we surface. The vertical packs add depth where we have it; they don’t gate the rest of the platform behind them.
Q04
Can I request a new vertical?
Yes — vertical requests come from agents and shape the roadmap directly. The verticals we have today are the ones agents asked us to build first. If you write a meaningful book in a vertical we don’t cover yet, the fastest way to influence the roadmap is to tell us.
Q05
Is Vertical Intel an extra-cost feature?
No. Vertical-specific signals and gap libraries are part of the core Prospekteer experience on every tier, including Free. The supported verticals are the supported verticals; there is no separate vertical add-on or premium subscription tier.
